The Character of Authentic Mediterranean Stone

Mediterano is characterized by its rugged texture, irregular shapes, and pronounced relief, inspired by the traditional stone walls of the Adriatic and Dalmatian hinterland. Varying element thicknesses and a combination of rougher and smoother surfaces create a dynamic, natural structure with a strong sense of authentic stone.

Natural tones and hand-finished shades further emphasize the Mediterranean character of the model. Thanks to its durability and versatility, Mediterano is suitable for interiors and exteriors—from facades and walls to emphasized architectural details and spaces where a warmer, rustic character is desired.

Slight differences in color shades are possible and common among different production series. After production, the product is stacked on pallets while still fresh. This is where the process of increasing strength takes place, and the color takes on its natural appearance. This process continues for the next few months and only concludes after installation. Because of this, after installation, the stone has darker shadows on its surface that will lighten after a certain period of exposure to external atmospheric influences.

The color of the stone in the photograph may differ from the actual color due to screen display variations.

Newly installed stone may initially appear significantly darker due to moisture content. After installation, it can take up to several months for it to fully dry and achieve its natural appearance. You can see an example of newly installed stone and its final appearance after drying HERE.
